How can I delete one single frame in Vegas?

I read through the manual and it seems that hitting S will split up a clip. However I just want to delete ONE little frame, and not split anything up. Sorry if I sound like a complete newbie, but I cannot figure it out for my life.

Also, when hitting the right arrow during a video, it skips like 3-5 frames. Anyway to get the program to only skip 1 frame per right/left keyboard press?

Hi,

Here is what I do, to delete a single frame I zoom in on the track (until you see large spaces between the pictures on the object) When you are zoomed in this far the arrow keys go frame by frame (you can tell if you are going frame by frame if you look at the frame counter under the "video preview") If you have a scroll mouse zooming is really simple. Anyway to delete one frame just split the object on both sides of the frame you want to delete, and then select the object containing the frame you want to delete, and press the delete key.

Sincerely, Leviathan

If you want to trim the in or out point of an event, select that event and hit the 7 or 9 on the numeric keypad. This gets you into trim mode. Hitting 1 or 3 will trim one frame at a time.

To move the cursor in the timeline one frame at a time use Alt/Arrow.

Put the cursor at the point where you want to delete a frame. Do this by clicking on the event, and then, while holding the Alt key, pressing the right or left arrow keys (if you press the Alt key, the left/right arrow keys will always move one frame at a time, regardless of zoom level).

The frame you see in the preview window is the next frame (i.e., to the right of the cursor). Press and hold these three keys: Ctrl, Shift, Alt. Then, press either the right or left arrow to select the frame to the right or the left of the cursor. Then, let go of the three keys and press the Delete key. This will delete whatever you have selected using the Ctrl, Shift, Alt arrow key combination. If you pressed the arrow key only once, it will delete one single frame. It will also split the event at this point. The fact that the event is split may not seem right to you at first, but after you think about it, the event has to be split because otherwise you wouldn't know where in the event the frame was cut.

Zoom in on the timeline. Left/Right arrows move by PIXEL. If you don't want to zoom in, you will have to also use the ALT key.
