How can I remove a background?

I have a lower third that I plan to use, but there is a gray background around it. I need to know how to get rid of it if possible, please.

It's not exactly grey, but it isn't pure black. There is a background

You can just chromakey background and move the low threshold up to get rid of background completely. Then check to make sure it didn't damage your overlays

Did you check for an alpha channel?
