How can I repeat the same region and not the entire event

I marked a small section of one event. I copied and pasted to the end of the timeline. I would Like to repeat the same scene several times. But when I grab the edge of the new scene I just pasted it just shows more of the original event and does not repeat just the little scene I created. Is this possible to do?

Copy the event as many times as you need. (hold down Ctril key while selecting the event and drag and drop a copy of it where you need it).

Only other way is to render the event to it's own AVI file and then you will be able to stretch it with the loop mode on.

I probably would make 1 copy of the original.. and split the new one as I'd like it. Than copy that one several times. Or is that very stupid?

Mark, no need to make a copy of the original; all that does is use up extra disk space while still retaining the same problem. Trim it to the length you want, then copy and paste the event; this doesn't require rendering.

If you wanted to render a new version for this task then render only the section you want. After bringing in the new version no trimming will be required and you would be able to drag out the length to make it repeat.

rrogan - use Ctrl+B to paste multiple times in one go. This will give you the looped effect I think you are describing.
