how can i ripple crossfades?

can i slap a agroup of photos on the timeline and hit a button to have them all crossfade together identically down the timeline?

Options / Preferences / Editing / Automatically overlap multiple selected media when added.

The Cut-to-overlap setting specifies the length of the crossfade.

Note that this only affects pictures that you add at the same time, not pictures you add individually or pictures already on the timeline.
