One factor might be the format and resolution of your video. What device is this video from and what format and resolution is it? If it's not a format or codec that's easily assimilated, it can bog things down. As can certain effects.

You can also try setting your Preview window's quality level to a lower or Auto level to see if that makes a difference.

It is a video recorded with obs and it is 1920x1080 at 60 fps. I also have set the preview quality to draft, half

I'm not sure what specs OBS is using to compress your videos.

Open your OBS video in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo set View to Text and then copy the complete text of this report and post it to this forum. With this detailed report we can more likely tell what's going on.

I'm assuming that if you start a new project and add only a dozen photos to it you don't experience any lag. This is a good indicator that the lag has to do with your source video rather than the program itself.

Tthe best for the job in VPro 17 with the Nvidia GTX 1660 super is the Studio driver 472.39
