how can i stop the fuzzies?

I start with sharp footage taken from my Canon XM2 3 chip camera, and the moment I use any Pan/Crop, Velocity or Fade, I lose the crispness.

For example, If I add a Velocity Envelope to a clip, an slow it even by the smallest value, you can visibly see the footage go from crisp and clear, to slightly blurred and fuzzy. It's ever so slight but bothers me nonetheless.

Does anyone have any tips to help prevent/minimise this,

You can turn off re-sample for that event. The fuzziness will disappear, but the motion will not be as fluid. It is a trade off, any time Vegas has to add or subtract fields or frames of video, it has to synthesize the new frames and create the new information from adjacent fields and frames. It does this by blending them. This leads to fuzziness.
