How can I transfer render preferences to another PC ?

I've created a series of quite specialised render preferences, but can't figure out how to transfer them. I've saved the files from my original machine, then dropped them into the template folder on the new PC, but they don't show up - even after a reboot.

Any suggestions please ?

Hi Spirit,

I seem to recall a thread from way-back where the consensus was that it could not be easily done (unlike fx-chains, where the veg file keeps the info.).

That said, the one thing I can think of off the top of my head is to get screenshots of the render settings, and save those in a veg file so you can easily view them in the preview window and enter them manually.

yeah, it's looking that way - I've tried all the obvious things.

It's just frustrating since you can easily identify, save and then place the file into the right spot in the new installation. It's like they've been designed to be able to move, but just lack some sort of "refresh" function to identify them.

Ah, well, not too much work to remake them :)
