How create strip bands

sfa34 wrote on 1/25/2026, 5:56 AM

Hello everyone.

I am discovering Vegas Pro 23, which I just purchased.

I would like to reproduce the striped effect in this video. What would be the best way to do this ?

That could be done with a "Gradient Wipe Transition". The difficulty is to create your own gradient Mask which can be loaded into the "Gradient Wipe Transition". Or with masking in the Pan/Crop tool.

@Dexcon : It has been done with the "Cut" app of my Honor phone. Creating diaporama with IA.

@3POINT : Masking + pan/crop was my first idea... it's hard work to do, I think.

Thanks for your help.

@sfa34 Than probably easiest way is, to create the intro with your phone app and import the rendered output into Vegas.

@3POINT You probably right ! But if I don't try this "simple" animation, I do not dig in the program and stay at surface. It's pleasant to discover, otherwise we gonna let AI do the stuff and lost our creativity.

@sfa34 I think it's not that simple to make the same animation in Vegas and to me it also doesn't look very creative...but that's my opinion. My rule is: less is more.
