OK - Maybe my newbie status is showing a bit here.

I am putting together a slide show for a friend's daughter's Make-A-Wish trip (still images only) and am trying to spice it up a bit (already added some pan and scan stuff, sound effects, etc..) and would like to make a small area of one of the stills pulse with color - I figued out how to make a mask of the area using the Pan/Crop tools but how would I make it pulsate?

Put a copy of the image on a new track under the masked image.
Now apply one of the FX such as Color Balance to the masked image.
Keyframe that FX as desired (every 5, 10, 15 frames, etc.) for the pulsating.
