How do I adjust the Bitrate?

I haven't adjusted the bit rate in the past. I have a VHS tape which I wanted to convert it into a DVD. The length of the video is 2 hours. I am sure I can fit the 2 hour video into one single DVD by adjusting the bitrate. But not sure where (Vegas Pro or DVD Architect 4.5) and how do I adjust it?.

In Vegas, go to File - Render As, pick MPEG2 and the desired preset, and then click on "Custom".

In DVD Architect, use the "Fit to Disc" option. If you use this option, give DVD Architect something better than MPEG2.

Either will get you there.
