If you want smooth transitions between the looped video you can render the video out to the final format, drag it into another project and copy it and time the loop points for smooth transitions. It wont take to long because the number of loops you'll be copying increases exponentially, you'll be done w/ a 2 hr looped video in no time. (:

Oh, and then you can do what MusicVid and Steve suggested to loop the whole dvd.

Thank you all for the great suggestions. I like the suggestion to render out the video and use it in a new project to loop. When I render it out and bring it back in I get terrible loss of quality. In fact, when i use the "Make Movie" feature in Movie Studio and burn it to a CD I get crappy quality. How can I improve the quality of my render and output?
If I understand correctly, my output is related to the quality of the settings I choose in the properties of my project.
It almost seems as if the resolution remains at the same settings that were accepted when I initiated my project, even though I change the properties to a higher quality later.

It depends on what you rendered to before rerendering. Rendering to MPEG, then putting that on the timeline and rendering to MPEG again will lose a lot of quality especially if you used low bitrates. You would do better to render the first time to DV-AVI or even uncompressed, then use that for the subsequent looping.

However, assuming you don't mind a very slight (probably less than 2 second) delay before the video starts again, setting the DVD to loop is a much better option. If you add the video as introductory media then set the end action to loop back to itself then all the end user has to do is slip the disc in the DVD player and it auto-starts and plays over and over again until someone stops it.

No, I don't mind a delay. I'm not sure where in Movie Studio I would make those settings (add video as introductory media, set end action to loop back to itself). Would that have to be done in DVD Architect? (a program I don't have)

You are not going to create a looping dvd in Vegas. Use the player's controls as Steve suggested.

You need some type of DVD authoring software in order to make a DVD. You cannot just copy the file to a DVD disk.

Dunno about anyone else's players, but none of my set-top DVD players have any looping options. I wouldn't count on the one at the trade show having it either.

Best is to author a DVD with the loop built in. DVD Architect Studio is included with Vegas Movie Studio.

Is DVD Architect included with Movie Studio HD 9.0? Unless it installed with my installation, I don't see it as a separate program anywhere on my computer.
