How do I create TWINS with Vegas 4.0??

Can someone please help me? I want to create the illusion of twins on screen.

I shot my friend on the left side of the couch and the right side of the couch. But how do I merge the two frames together so it looks like he's talking to himself or his twin??

Thank you so much!

The way I did it was like so. I had a camera on a tripod and shot me talking on the left side of the table, I then went to the right side of the table . I spliced the footage into two part, one part when I'm on the left and made it track one, then I made the part when I'm on the right side a second video track. Using the COOKIE CUTTER effect I made the left side of the first video track transparent. Hope this helps.

This can be done in a variety of ways. Another method would be to take a picture that is white on the left half and black on the right have (can be created with Generated Media) and put it on track 1. Put the video on tracks 2 and 3. Now turn on the parent/child relationship between tracks 1 and 2.

If you are seeing the wrong half of each video, simply move the clip on track 3 to track 2 and the video on track 2 to track 3 OR swap sides of the black and white media.
