Ian,
It's under Make Movie->print to file (first one)->then click the drop down arrow in format. Windows Media (.wmv) will be one of the options. Then drop down to the template (just below), click the down arrow and select the template. Notice that when you do, you will see how big the file will be down below it. Chienworks likes 256K but to get the best quality, 3MPS is what you want. Of course, the file rendered will be quite a bit bigger. Enjoy.
Merry Christmas!
Randy

Ian - Highlight Clip > Make Movie > Format (Drop down box) > Windows Media Video (*.wmv) - That's about it Ian. Works for me. Just check and make sure you have look carefully at the Drop Dpown Format list - it's easy to overlook.

Any way - Merry Christmas

Ha! Beat you Grazie. Imagine, on opposite sides of the earth, two blokes are doing the same thing.
Having a Merry One? Did you get your Christmas goose yet?

I beg your pardon, my dear boy! I have never -never been goosed in my life! ;) or should that have been :0 . . . . Oh yeah, it is amazing. This technology is superb. And Randy thanls for the "tip" on the 256k speeds adjustment. D'yknow - I've been reading these posts and the ones on the VV site for 9-10 months, and I've seen this talk about 256k this and 256k that and it really didn't sink in - thanks again.

You can PiP me at the POst any time you wish. Happy Hols . . . . It's now 5:24am on Christamas Day morning

Sounds like you are an early riser...or maybe a night owl over achiever :-) I've learned so much from yours and others posts also. But really, I've enjoyed your humor too as sometimes we forget to have fun. Looking forward to future learning. By the way, it's 1933 on 24 Dec here. Santa hasn't made his way to Hawaii yet. Probably shedding that cold weather gear as we speak for the hop across the Pacific. We call him the Aloha Santa here since he shows up in sunglasses, shorts, and a Christmas Aloha shirt and surfs in on a 10 footer. Of course he has fur trimmed flip flops (slippers) that replace the black boots. Quite a sight to see.
Aloha,
Randy

"it's 1933 on 24 Dec here" - Now would that be 1933 as in the rise of Mr Hitler - or 19:33 as in 7:33pm in the evening OR 23:33 as in 11:33pm?

"Sounds like you are an early riser...or maybe a night owl over achiever :-) " All the above - but generally a PAIN in the rear to my nearest and dearest. I'm very enthusiastic and when I get my teeth into something - that's it! I know I'm going to sticj=k with this activity for the rest of my life - it's just too engaging. I've been a potter for 23 years now and I should know what it means to learn and develope a "craft" - yes?

If you wanna keep chating this time till you hit Christamas Day - okay! I've really got to do some cheese straws for my folks for pre-drinks later today. Yes?

Nah, have a good day. Go do your straws. Out here.

Thanks for the feedback, but there's no option for wmv! I've got mpegs 1 & 2, Real, Quicktime and avi, but no wmv. Honest Santa, I've been a good boy (mostly!), please can I have wmv for Christmas? Ho ho ho?

Cheers

Ian - I don't understand. i've checked out my VF and there it stands, as one of the Formats. Honest Guv'nor! I've even played around with 256k option - Does this ever produce a better video than the 56k!

Ian we need to discuss this further. I'm available for some time on Boxing Day. Use my mobile number if you wish - yes?

Cheers

Ian - I don't understand. You have 2 installs on your pc - XP and 2k? Nah, I must have this wrong.

Anyway you've found the WMV thing - yes?

Grazie -

PS please pass the Alka-Selzer

No, you have it right! For reasons it would take too long to explain (but Pinnacle Studio's in there) I've got Win 98, Win 2K and XP on the same PC. I choose the one I want to use as the system boots up.

Cheers
