How do I fix a video that has jumping fps from 12fps to 30fps

Hello,

I have a problem with Vegas Pro 14, I got a video that has a properties of 12fps but in the middle of the video it will jump back to 30fps then return back to 12fps, so how do I make this video play like this on Vegas Pro? Because if I played it in Vegas Pro or after rendering it, it will play only at 12fps.

Also I have tried converting the video to 30fps but that didn't work too.

You mean you want to accelerate a part of your 12fps video source?

Yes, but if I played the video in my desktop it will play the part where it's faster on 30fps. On Vegas it will only stays at 12fps.

But I don't want to do this manually, like on each part I have to make the video clip faster.

Vegas Pro does not support variable frame rates.

Vegas Pro does not support variable frame rates.

Okay, so it's not possible to fix it?

In Vegas Pro, I doubt. Don't know if there's any NLE which would handle variable frame rates that way except the latest version 12.0.1 of Premiere Pro.

Hm. I did editing some VBR videos in Vegas Pro 13. It used to work (smart resample did its job, you should not disable it with VBR).

However, I did not like the result so then before editing in Vegas I converted VBR video into CBR in Handbrake. I did not mind some quality loss because of additional encoding (I just used high bitrate for the intermediate video).
