How do i fix svp not letting my pc import audio

o basically recently my pc got updated to windows 10 from windows 7, on Windows 7, I could import audio on sony vegas pro 14. But when I try to import audio now, it won't show up, and when I choose the file type to "All Files" and import it, it's a buzzing noise. Please help

all instead of .wav, but all my audio files are mp3

MP3 files can be iffy. It is better to convert them to WAV files for Vegas use. There is no strict standard for MP3 so they can be all over the place.

why do you think its not letting me use mp3 on windows 10, and also how do I convert audio files?

- Lots of convert utilities around, both on-line and installable. The free 'Online-convert.com' and Audacity are examples. Sound Forge Audio Studio ain't free but affordable. Try the demo. I wonder if the MP3 codec in your PC is forked up. Out of curiosity, can you post an MP3 file that Vegas will not open?

Other than that, it's best to stay away from the mp3 format all together, except as an end-user format.
