How do I get the 'film effect' in Vegas 5?

Hey there, I am using the trial version of Vegas 5.0 right now... Is there any way I can convert my 30fps minidv video to 24p?

I know in the full version you can get magic bullet movie looks, but I want to know if you can do it manually too... Thanks!

Do a "search" here in the forum for "film look" and you'll get lots of recommendations on how to achieve this manually.

There is really a lot more to the "film effect" than just converting your MiniDV footage to 24p. Although, that's certainly one part of it.

You might also want to check out my response in this thread to see what sort of compromises you will be making by going the 24p route. That said, I don't know what you're trying to accomplish visually and, perhaps, going 24p may be perfectly appropriate in your case.
