How do i make a template

Hi all as i said in the title i wolud like to make a template to use often on my
wedding video i ussualy do an intro movie the it goes to a menu but what
i whant to do is make a tamplete so i can use t in most of my project so i
wont have to do everything again cause it takes too much time all i want
i to use those smaal white squares that says "Media Offline" and replace
it with a new video without deleting the effects and transistions used for
that video in particular i have been useing the copy, paste thing but the
new video always go to the back of the white square and the video looks
dark, it look like a meged 2 video clips, i have done some stuff that make
the new video take over the effects but it takes longer time to do it this way
is there an easy way to replace this if some one know please let me know TIA!

If you want a template that uses the same transitions and so forth, you'll have to deal with the offline media indicator, and then be replacing the event with video.
Or, you could create a video project using empty events, and replace those with video later on.
Then save as a veg file, and that can be opened as a template each time.
