Maybe pull down the Volume Envelope, or the Track Vol slider, or right-click the audio event and select Switches | Mute.

Or how about simply clicking on the Mute button ?

Perhaps a cursory read of the Help or Manual would also be in order ?!!

I'll assume you wish to 'add' music... not remove music that's already 'mixed' with other audio elements you wish to use.
Many ways to achieve this.
- Engage Mute button on audio track header: Circle icon w/line
- Lower 'Track' fader volume to Inf, all the way to left.
- Lower ''Event'(s) volume' to Inf. Drag top of event down all the way. (thin blue line)
- Select audio event(s) > Delete key.
- Un-group from video, Remove/Delete audio track: select event, Delete key or Right-click 'Delete'
- Un-group from video, Right-click track header and select 'Delete'
I'm sure there's more I do not recall at the moment.

addendum: "remove music that's already 'mixed' with other audio elements you wish to use".. Not possible.
