How do I remove empty space at the end of a project?

After editing a long project in Vegas I am left with empty space at the end of my timeline. I didn't realize this until I rendered the project and included the mpeg2 file in a DVD made with DVD-A. When watching the DVD I have four minutes of blank space before the movie returns to the main menu. How do I remove the blank space at the end of my .veg timeline?

Thanks for your help.

This is pure Zen! - Sorry I can't help

. . .however I did once get the strangest of Warnings while working with Microsoft's flagship wordprocessor . . this great big white warning screen, with miniscule letter saying:

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXX__ WORD CAN NOT EDIT THE UNKNOWN___XXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

. . scared the crap outta me - and no mistake!

Press Ctrl-End. This will take you to the end of the last event in your project. What you will probably find is that you "stranded" a few events on one of your tracks. These events are way beyond (in time) what you thought was the real end of your project. Delete these events and then re-render.

An alternative is to go to the end of the last event that you want rendered. Put a marker there and then select everything between there and the beginning of the project. When you select "Render As" check the "Render Loop Region Only" checkbox.

To render a project, It's a good idea to set the start and end with a region, and render the region only.

If you want to cut off unnesesary footage in DVDA, just drag the out point marker (with the yellow triangle) to reset the end.

Thanks for your help. I will try to change the out point in DVD-A. That way I won't have to render again.
