You'll have to click on the Advanced Render button to get the list of all
the file types that Video Factory can support. .wav will be in that list.
Hey, Sonic Foundry! I click Advanced Render EVERY TIME i render. Is
there some way i could have the Advanced Render dialog come up first
instead of the two other screens? Just wondering .... ;-)

If you are making the same changes everytime you go into advanced render, you can create a template and save it. This might save a step sometimes.
Oh, it's not that at all. I'm not worried about saving steps. I'm just an
old-fashioned user who hates presets ;-) I'd rather look at the whole
control panel and see my options every time, even if i don't need them.
Video Factory 1.0's render command immediately showed what has now
become the Advanced Render screen, and i liked that.

Yeah, I am that way a bit, but if I made the presets, it makes me feel important. :)
I didn't remember how VF1 handled these since I was still pretty new when they came out with VF2.
