Greetings, from a long-time Vegas Movie Studio Platinum user. I have been reading these Forums for several years now, and have always found them very useful. And now I'm in a position where I need to submit my first question, and thanks in advance to anyone who can assist me.
I recently had to re-install, from my original install disk, my copy of Vegas MS Platinum, v9.0. I can still access my old installation of Vegas, and all the original app files, because my system disk didn't completely die, I just had to re-install XP on a replacement disk. So I can still read the old disk that contains my old, and now useless, copy of Vegas.
All went well, I am up and editing from the re-installed Vegas once again. I can even restore the project I was in the middle of when my system crashed, because all the files used in that project were stored on a separate disk than my system drive. Here's my problem: all my previous custom frame event pan/crop settings (and others, such as custom video FX) that I had created, during the previous three years of intense editing work, are all gone, left back in my original installation of Vegas. It would save me a TON of redundant work to simply retrieve the old custom settings, instead of re-creating them all from scratch - if I knew how to do it. Has anyone out there ever been in my position, and been able to successfully restore their customizations after a re-install? - Thanks again.
