Right click the file on the timeline of V5 and choose "reverse" from the submenu
in V4, insert a velocity envelope set to -100% start to finish.

In V5, right click on the event and select "reverse." You can reverse picture and sound separately or together.

In V4 you have to use the velocity envelope but it will reverse picture only, not sound.

In Vegas 4 using the Velocity Envelope, START AT THE END. Split the clip at the END of the 3 minutes. Then move a little farther right and split again. Now apply the velocity envelope to that small section and set it to -100%. Finally, move it to the proper place and resize it on the right side until you find the original start point.

Am I missing something? for individual events, not events cut from a longer file, ie; 3 mins total length vs 3 mins trimmed from say, a 10 minute file, all I need to do is insert the velocity envelope with no additional handles, and pull to -100. Clip length is same, former beginning is now end, former end is now beginning....no splitting or resizing to be done.

Spot, I agree if it is a single 3 minute clip (total clip being 3 minutes long) that needs to be reversed. However, if it's 3 minutes out of the middle of a 30 minute clip, you'll agree it's a totally different story. My vote is to use the new "Reverse Clip" option in Vegas 5 - whole lot easier.
