How do I "squash" a clip?

As above, that is elongate it - or come to that "fatten" it. Tried P/C. I've been too focussed on my PTT issue - maybe I've forgotten - Grazie

Hey, maybe just unchecking the third button on your left in the P/C window. It's called the "lock aspect ratio" button. I tried it today for a text trick (say that 10 times now!) and I think this might be what you're looking for.
Oh, yeah, hum... what's a "PTT Issue"? Can I catch that from others? =Q! :D

Hi G,

I'll pile on too, with the Track-Motion; same button, but will effect whole track (like for credit rolls on the right/left with numerous squished vid events)

Futz: PTT = Print TO Tape

Marty: Do I "squash in Pan/Crop? I can't get enough of it - always been my problem in other areas too - ;-)

Grazie, I think the Bard said it best:

"How do I squash V? Let me count the ways..."

In P/C you might uncheck the "maintain aspect ratio" button, but leave the "stretch to fill" box active... then you can drag the corners to distort the image larger or smaller, horiz. and/or vert. Good for single events.

In T-M, you can unlock aspect and "size about center" buttons on the left and drag the corners till you're silly, as above. Good for multiple events.

I suppose you can also use the deform FX too... track or events.

As for always wanting more, that started a long time ago:

The Lord gave Eve to Adam and spaketh unto him: "I suppose you'll be wanting fries with that..." "Sure!", said Adam. And the Lord looked upon Eve... "and you"? Eve replied: "Pass on the fries, thanks... but ya got any fruit??"
