How do I stop autoplay?

Using DVDA I've created a blu ray disc of 2010 family videos (4 menu pages, 25 video clips). Menu Page 1 is set as the start item. When I viewed Preview prior to burning Menu Page 1 appeared with the first video clip highlighted, which I had to click to start the video. Great, just what I expected!
However, when I insert the burned blu ray disc into my player the Menu Page 1 very briefly (1 sec) appears with the first video highlighted and almost immediately starts to play. Thereafter there's nothing I can do but watch the whole thing through to the end. I'm unable to move to next/previous title. If I select disc menu it again very briefly appears and starts to play from the beginning again.

HELP!!

Have you tried another Blu-ray player?

Have you tried using a media player in your PC?

Does your Blu-ray player play BDs burnt by someone else's equipment?

Many thanks for your suggestions, Peter, much appreciated. I tried another blu ray player and the disc played OK and I was able to navigate between menu pages. However, during Preview before burning the texts I put on Menu Page 1 (start point) showed OK but, after burning to disc those texts did not show. Any ideas?
