How do I stop the 'Missing File' dialogue?

Hello to everyone :-)

I'm working on a project, during which I took a snapshot of the preview screen and saved the image to an external USB stick for use elsewhere. The image was not part of my project.

Now, everytime I open the project, VMS 11 is asking for the missing file. I've tried clicking on 'ignore and leave it offline' but I get this message every time I open the project. How can I tell VMS to permanently ignore the missing file?

Many thanks in advance - John

Find the file in your Project Media panel and delete it.

Yet another example of why i find Project Media to be annoyance and not helpful. *sigh*

Ha....I've experienced the same annoyance throughout 2 challenging projects for me to finish up.

I just kept clicking the 'ignore all files' choice every time I opened the project.
I never looked for or deleted the offending files.

It probably doesn'tt help that I'm on a perpetual learning curve with software as deep as VMS (9.0b for me).

Carry on....

Click the lightening bolt icon. It will remove all media that are not part of the project.

Thanks Steve, I deleted it from the Project Media panel and that cured the problem :-)

Cheers!
