Help(F1)>Index>Still Image, Capturing from Timeline

All it says is "Still-Image Sequence" and "Still Image Length". Neither of these tell me what I need to know. Would you mind explaining it to me really fast. I've been looking for about an hour and I cannot get it. I really need to know how to do it. Thanks.

Pull the clip into the timeline, place the cursor where you want to "take the picture" and click the disc-like icon above the preview window -- "save snapshot to file."

Search for "snapshot" in this forum.

I have a similar question. I've been attempting to use the "Copy Snapshot to Clipboard" and "Save Snapshot to File..." features but the image resolution is much lower than I anticipated.

With the clipboard option, the resolution appears to be 360x240. With the file option, the resolution appears to be 327x240.

I was hoping for a nice clear 720x480 image. I experimented a little with the "Preview Quality" (trying some of the "Full" settings) and the images were larger but extremely grainy.

Lish, take a look at my newsletter and look at the issue that deals with taking snapshots.

Lish set the preview window dropdown menu(Located near snapshot button on top of the preview window) to best quality then take your snapshot this will give best quality for Pictures.
