Of course this is not the answer that I wanted to hear.
The problem that I am having is that I have my project near completion, but want to delete a page. Once the page is deleted, I need the arrow from my previous page to point to a different one than the one that I deleted.
1. Do you know why DVDA doesn't allow this?
2. Is there a different authoring program that permits this???

Can you just delete the contents of the page you want deleted and then copy the contents of the other page to the "deleted" page? Then delete the other page. That should work for you.

And yes, there are other packages that do let you specify to which menu links point.
