Greetings. Can anyone tell me how to close a gap in the timeline without haveing to move all the clips one at a time? In Premiere you just r click and the menu tells you to "close gap" but there is no such thing in Vegas. Or is there? Please help. thanks so much, Roger
Wow!...I can finally contribute to the forum insteat of just asking questins.
To move photos to make a gap, just right click on the event (photo)to the right of the insertion (gap) point.
Select "Select Events to End"
Put cursor on the first photo to be moved to the right.
Left click-Hold and drag the selected group to the right.
After you have inserted the new event in the gap....Drag te moved group back to the left to fill the gap.
If you have more tracks in the time line with i.e. pictures, text and music you can also use "ripple edit".
With ripple edit on - and if you have chosen "all tracks etc" in the pull down menu - then, if you move one item in the time line, all items to the right of it and in all tracks - also move.
With ripple edit on, double click between the 2 events you want to butt together and press delete. Note that you're not necessarily deleting empty space, you're deleting everything between those events!
