Just curious if anyone edits with headphones while editing surround sound projects. Do you use a regular headset or have you checked out the 5.1 surround gaming headsets (with 4 separate speakers per ear).

I just had a pair of the latter that I used for editing lose the subwoofer and partial loss of the right /front speaker. I was not too happy with the headset (I had to get a new mic, not that good of a mic anyway, first and then the subwoofer went on the first pair). So, I am looking for alternatives. When it worked I did like having the audio spatially separated.
