Use the pan/crop tool on each photo. Set a keyframe at the beginning of the photo and one at the end (for instance, start with the entire photo onscreen for the 1st keyframe then zoom in for the 2nd keyframe). Vegas will figure out the movement.

If you don't feel like doing it yourself I believe Ultimate S has a built-in component that automatically creates the effect for you.

Sorry to shift focus, I was ask about Ken Burns effect which is easy to do but does any one have a cheap solution to the flicker on the pan and zoom. College students budget is petty tight, so my solution was way out of the ballpark. Thanks in advance, I should know this but it appears a brain cells have fried.

Thanks John, I was looking for something that was doable entirely in VEGAS for the students could use. A few are pro with CS3, but a simple procedure in vegas is best for most, I think for right now.
