I've agreed to demo Sound Forge at the next Washington-Baltimore Vegas Users' Group meeting (Feb21).
I think I've covered all the ways I use it, but would be interested in hearing what others do with it. The emphasis is on applications related to sound editing/sweetening for video..
I wish Vegas gave me a selection of audio editors (the way, e.g., SONAR does), instead of making me choose one as the default.
Because noise usually is what I want to correct, I generally keep iZotope RX as my default.
Anyway, when I do use Sound Forge, it's usually something related to leveling, er ... levels!
When I upgraded to Sound Forge 9, Sony included at no extra charge an Izotope "Mastering Effects Bundle" that gave me some plugins for SF. That is what I was referring to.
Of course, I have one or two other products from their collection on my wish list.
