how exactly do u do a rewind backward effect on a video.

i tried doing velocity stuff but i keeps going forward not backward.

With a velocity envelope, any negative value runs backwards.

To simply reverse an event, right-click and choose Reverse.

Just a thought here, reversed events look like, well, really good. Tape being rewound doesn't. So if you want realism, copy your stuff to (shudder) VHS and record the output of a machine being rewound. I don't know of anyway in Vegas to simulate the line tearing etc that happens with tape being rewound.
