How Is The Safe Area Adjusted?

I'm trying to adjust the Safe Area overlay. In the Help section, under Safe Area, it states: "Drag the slider to adjust the size of the safe area guides in the workspace."

I can neither see nor find the "slider" I am to drag.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Options>Preferences>Video. About half way down enter the values for Action and Title Safe overlays.

No, it *is* there. The problem is that the Help page you saw refers to Pro Type. Note that it refers to "workspace" and if you look up "workspace" in Help you will see it is a part of Pro Type. The slider is there in the Pro Type window.

YES, the Help is not very well done, and it is very confusing.

I find the assertion that "workspace" is an unique entity residing within ProType challenging.

While we're off the subject, why, oh why. aren't the safe area settings friggin global ??

Legacy DNA. The feature was not sufficiently limiting to make the beast die out rather than evolving to its present form. Why do we have an appendix?
