How to act on video track from audio track ?

Hello everybody, all fine? My version is 20, and I use it on an Asus laptop.

There is a technical challenge that I have to solve: I am a composer, I want to create a video on a music, and I would like to control the opacity of video tracks by an audio track.

More precisely, I created three identical tracks, only one detail changes: on the first, a red light is off. On the second, it shines a little. On the third, it is on at maximum.
The LED off track will not move. The intermediate one should react moderately, depending on the power of the sound. And that of the light on should react, but when the sound is really loud.

I am sure that there is a solution to act on the opacity of the tracks through the power of the signal emitted by the audio track. So many things are possible, with such sophisticated programs! But in this case, I don't know how to go about it... Thanks if you can help me.

Nice idea to propose it, but it seems very hard for me, so technical, so advanced... I'm afraid not to have sufficient level to understand it. Maybe if I could ask some help directly to this man, I don't know...

The first video is showing how to get the volume information. The second video in the series shows how to read that information and adjust a composite envelope on a video track based on the volume of the audio track. It can be modified to adjust whatever parameter you want instead of a composite envelope. But, otherwise, today there's no easy way to do that in VEGAS.

You might look at VEGAS Effects!

In addition to VEGAS Effects by upgrading to Vegas Post in order to get VEGAS Effects, have a look at the Beat Reactor function available in many VFX in BorisFX's Continuum package/Units - which has a trial version: https://vfx.borisfx.com/continuum-trial. Not inexpensive though.

Cheapest option - write your own script.

Ok, i understand. Thank you.

Meanwhile, I had a proposal from a guy whose job it is, fully into it, illustration, video editing, creation, etc. He showed me what he does, he is very very strong. He offers me to make the entire video clip, for nothing. Simply, this video, only one. If we want more later, we'll have to pay for it, and it's quite expensive. But this one, he wants to do it, because he doesn't have a lot of work at the moment, and he really likes what I compose. I said ok, let's try...
