Some transitions work only on the same video track between two events. What transiton are you trying to insert?

Any transition like the ones you apply between the tracks.

Hi spidey,

You might try dragging the event fade-handles toward the center, creating fades at the head and tail of yer event; then drop yer transitions on the fades.

martyh is right. Just create a fade on the second track and then apply the transition you want to the fade. I do this all the time for things like page peels when I have multiple overlaying tracks and I want them to all peel together to the reveal the bottom track.

Nice idea jr,

I'm thinkin you could setup a quad-split where all segments peel away from the center... even use pan/crop on each segment to show a quarter of the same image.

It's Playtime!

Thnx. I'm still a newbie but what is this event fade handles?

The first line is an event. Notice the little blue triangle in the upper corner. This is the "fade handle"

In the second line, the cursor has been placed on the fade handle and has changed to the little pie-wedge pointer.

In the third line the cursor has been dragged to the right one second, causing the white fade curve to be drawn for the duration of the fade. The faded portion of the clip is drawn with a faded color. You may also drop a transition on the faded portion. This may also be done at the end of a clip by dragging the fade handle to the left.

I got my second track ( still images only) with transition working but how do you apply transition on second video track, not still images and without the audio? I tried but I can't seem to apply transition. Thnx.
Chienworks wrote on 9/21/2002, 8:05 AM
It should work exactly the same as with still images; create a fade section of the clip and apply the transition to that faded section.

Thnx for your reply Chienworks, I got but how do you delete the audio of the second track?
defucius wrote on 9/21/2002, 3:00 PM
Spidey, you can unlock the audio track from the video track and then delete the audio. In addition, all of your questions are answered in the Manual, just download the Manual, it is only 300 pages. The Manual also contains several nice tutorials that will get you started. I forgot the ftp address of the tutorial files. somebody please help.
