How to Batch Mercalli from the Vegas Timeline

I've come up with a way to run the Mercalli V2 Fx from the Vegas timeline in a batch fashion. It involves a number of scripts inside of Vegas and also an external Autohotkey script for controlling the process. I've prepared a short YT Tutorial describing how it works. It's best viewed in 1080 fullscreen and can be found here:

I've tested it in V10, V12, and V13 on my Core i7 system and in V13 on an older Q6000 system and in V13 on a really old Core 2 Duo laptop which did require some timing changes.

It is still very much a work in progress. If you're interested in trying it out and providing some feedback and suggestions for improvement, here is the Dropbox link to the script files and installation guides.

I would suggest you also download the project test files which are the same ones used in the tutorial and try it on those before using your own materials.

Your feedback would be appreciated.

Although I am now using the standalone v3, this would have been very useful when I was using the v2 plug-in. Anyone using that plug-in should find this to be valuable.

The thing I disliked about the plugin was doing one event at a time; waiting for the analysis to complete before moving on to the next event. Your process solves that. You can start the process and walk away from the PC while it runs for all the events.

This is a real time saver for me. I have tested it on V13 and it works great!

Using the stand alone version of Mercalli has its benefits, but I prefer using fx on the Vegas timeline. No extra renders, etc. And with this batch feature added, I see few reasons using the Mercalli SAL.

There are a couple of steps involved to set it up, but then it is quite easy to use.

Thank you wwaag.

Glad it's working for you and once again, thanks for the feedback. I've edited the initial post to include the Dropbox download link for anyone else who might be interested.
