I'm not quite sure I get your question because you mention about "burning a Data CD".

CD's and DVD's are different.

As for burning a DVD, you can use any data burning software and copy the two folders you mention with their content (by the way, one folder is probably empty), on a DVD. It should then play on most DVD players.

Hmm that's what I did with toast, It did not work. I choose data CD but it was labeled "Hybrid MacOS/Windows CD" which I guess is a bad thing. I will try and see if other dvd player can read it...

I'm also confused about "Data CD." Whatever options you choose, there should be no "CD" anywhere in the name of the template, etc. It should only say "DVD."

Well, there are the usual options in Toast,
Data CD
Audio CD
CD Copy

I guess the goal here is to burn the audio and video folders to the DVD, so to me Data CD seems the most logical choice ?

Ghost is a BACKUP/RECOVERY utility. It makes image files of your drive. These shouldn't be confused with images as in pictures, rather a snaphot of what a partition on a hard drive looks like so it can be restored if something bad happens to your hard drive.

Hmm I use ghost pretty often, what's the link with burning a dvd ??

I assume they are referring to a data DVD which is similar to drag and drop. In other words its not creating or add the necessary file structure and overhead files a "DVD" needs to play videos on a set top.

AFAIK Ghost can't make a DVD of the tratitional kind, meaning the kind discussed in this forum. I could be wrong... haven't looked at Ghost in years.

Are we talking about the same application?

Ok, so what program could burn the right headers on a mac ?

I don't have a Mac. I've heard that Toast does a decent job.

Finallly got it to work in Toast, there was a DVD option I did not see in the beginning. (Would have been more obvious if there was a right click button on those mac mouses..)

Thanks,
