How to change field of view 360 degree footage not just scene rotation

I've been a Vegas user since version 9. I'm now working on several projects using 360 footage shot at 4k 24 fps (4096 x 2048) Using Vegas Pro 17 build 387. Your stitching fx is much better and faster than using the Gear 360 app and I love the way it can be tweaked! The scene rotation is also working great for re-framing the shots. However, I cannot find a way to change the field of view or "Zoom In/Out." The event pan and crop doesn't work at all, the stitching goes nuts. I can change the FOV in the preview window but can't see where it can be keyframed in the timeline. I've looked everywhere for help but no luck. Just looking for help on how to change the fov in the timeline for the clips.

Note: A suggestion to be able to use the preview window to frame the shot and then add keyframes from there but that doesn't seem possible either unless I'm missing something. I actually find it easier to use the preview window for reframing rather than the scene rotation plug-in.

Hi. I am one of the 360° developer in VEGAS. The plugin you are looking for is the "Tiny Planet" effect which is used in the preview. For changing the "Zoom" in 360° you have to change the parameter "z".

Have fun with it and VEGAS.

I think its much better to use the "Scene rotation" plugin and apply it BEFORE Pan/crop.... then you the crop tool to zoom in-out

@PacoDeCasa 'Tiny Planet' is changing the field of view like Zoom in 360°. 'Pan/Crop' is only cutting the frame without 360° support.

Yes, but if you put "Scene Rotation" before pan/crop, you can change your field of view and zoom in-out with better quality than tiny planet effect... At least I've tested both modes and it seems to me that the quality is much better with the method I mention.

I tried the tiny planet it at the end of the chain and it breaks the dual fish eye stitching with hard stitch lines. I will need to do some more experimenting. Is there someway to reset the view in the preview window? then I move the preview window around, it stays where I put it but I don't think that is forward in the clip being worked on.

you must move it BEFORE pan/crop for it to work properly
