I'm sure there is a way to do this but can't find it in the manual or figure it out.
I often record a riff or part and loop it. However, because I recorded preceding and trailing time before and after the portion I want to loop, I've been simply cutting and pasting the loop after I drag the event to the loop region. It would be great if I could designate a portion of that event as the loop and be able to drag it as if that was the actual length of the original event -- and not have to take it into a sound forge to edit it.
I tried messing with the Trimmer tool but couldn't find a way to do this. I also tried "splitting" the loop out of the original loop.
