how to de-noise in VMS?

I know there is an effect called 'add noise', but I wonder who wants to use that!
I have footage shot in low light conditions, so I want to remove noise. Can anybody help me out here?

Neat Video noise reduction was recently discussed over on Vegas. I have never used it, but the web site shows some remarkable imporvements. It's not free. If you do a search in the last ten days key word noise you will find it - or simply google Neat Video to get the web site link.

I gave neat video a try, and it works just great, even on Vegas Movie Studio. There's a free demo version for noncommercial use. It leaves a stamp in the bottomright corner of the clip, but seems fully operational.
