How to do multiple transitions / layers

Hey, i am trying to make a new intro for my YouTube video, currently my new intro is being finalized, what I am trying to do though is complex

The intro is starting by walking into a movie theater, and once you walk through the two main doors you see the video screen, what I am trying to do is, on my game videos, there is a 12 second load / prescreen, and on the intro there is a 11 second load

I am trying to get my game video to show on the big screen as you walk into the theater, and then as you get closer, it gets bigger, and then at the 11th second it then goes into fullscreen mode, and it starts the game.

trouble is, I have no clue how to do it "/ or get the video to start on the small screen and get bigger, into full screen mode from starting on the big screen in the theater

This could be accomplished keyframing the Pan/Crop tool.

Do you understand keyframing and do you know how to use the Pan/Crop tool to enlarge or shrink the size of your video within your video frame?

If you need some help with the basics of the program -- including keyframing -- you may benefit from my free 8 part Basic Training tutorial series along the left side of this page.

I'm sorry, but I don't think either of those sites have helped me, unless I'm not finding what I need help with.

I have an intro, inside the intro is a box where I can place a video, I am trying to make the video start in that box, and i need to be able to, frame per frame, make that video larger as it pans in, and then have it pan to full screen once done.

is that even possible with Movie Sudio 13?

I would do this easily with keyframes in Pan/Crop, however if you're newish at this you might find Track Motion to be a bit more intuitive.

Pan/Crop lets you manipulate the frame around the picture, while Track Motion lets you manipulate the picture inside the frame.

How do I do all of this? I'm not finding these features in my program?

not only that, i can't even get the video inside of the video. . I watched videos of how people got photos inside of videos, and none on videos inside of a video, and everything i'm finding as far as help support is from years ago

There are plenty of free tutorials / demos on Youtube.
There is a learning curve involved. Best of luck.

Very quick simple suggestion to get you started: Put the inset 'movie' video on track one. Put the surrounding video on track 2. Open up Pan/Crop on the movie event and drag the dashed cropping frame out larger. This shrinks the video inside it, making it smaller in the output frame. You can also move the dashed frame around to reposition the image.

Thank you, I found that, is there a way to be able to change the size of the video for each frame?

IE make it larger and larger after each previous frame.

Yes. Click on help and search "keyframes". I'm still using Vegas Pro 9 and keyframing is a bit different in newer versions, so telling you what to click based on my screen will probably just send you astray.

Just a few hints though ... there is a small keyframe timeline at the bottom of the pan/crop window. You may have to click on a button called 'animation' to make it appear. You can click on that timeline to set keyframes and adjust the settings at each point. You don't have to do every frame, as Vegas will move smoothly between any two keyframes if you wish.

Keyframing works for most any effect, not just pan/crop.
