This is the VEGAS Pro audio forum, this should be posted in the Magix SOUND FORGforum.
That said, welcome to the Magix community @martin-jones .To download SF-9 (or other Magix software ), go to the Magix Download Center. You will need to log-in and enter your SF-9 serial number to download.
And are you entering it correctly, SF Pro 9 serials start with 15H, and appears as follows: 15H-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx Where did the serial number come from? ... boxed version, download, ect.? Was it registered with SCS (Sony) when first activated? Try logging into the Magix Service Center and see if it is listed in "My Products". All the SCS registration info and and such was ported over to Magix upon acquisition. Use the original email address when registered if possible. Otherwise, contact the Magix Sales Team which handles activation issues.
Thank you for your help rraud . I bought and downloaded over the internet. I think the original code may have been 15H but later that would not work and in the last email I could find from them it is 15T xxxx and does not work i will look through some hard drive to see if I can find a different one
I had to take windows 10 back to its default setting.
I lost sound forge 9, but I am using a free trial of audio studio 14 instead.
I can record things when I am using the internal computer mic and speakers but for some reason studio 14 will not recognize the interface that I like to record with, which is a Roland Rubix 22 USB audio interface. I have always used this type of interface before with audio 9 with no problems.
everything else plays through the interface fine - youtube videos and DVDs ect.
Could anyone let me know what the problem is or how I can fix it. Thank you for your help in advance :)
Sorry, I am not familiar with AS (Audio Studio). Recheck the audio device type and record/playback routing settings. In SF Pro they are in the "Options> Preferences> Audio" menu . AS. may be similar
