How to fill a gap on the timeline with an event of the exact length?

I read it somewhere but I can't find it now.

How do you insert an event from the trimmer that has the exact length as an empty space in the timeline?

Double click timeline to create region in empty space.
Place cursor in Trimmer where you want your in point to occur
Press the A key.
Vegas will add media from the trimmer in the length of the selection
