rose-c wrote on 9/15/2016, 10:13 PM

I dont know how to find the advanced editing mode on Vegas Movie Studio Platnium 13 and the tab that everyone's talking about that say 'Advanced' isn't on my screen. Does anyone know where I can find it on the software?

Thank you!

This is where the button is.

If something has gone wrong with the program and it does not look right, I recommend you perform a program reset.

Close the program.
Hold down the CTRL + SHIFT keys at the same time AND ALSO AT THE SAME TIME double click program icon on Desktop to Boot program.
Window will pop up.
Select Delete all Cached Application Data and then press Yes.
This will restore program to Factory Default Settings.

Also, make sure you've got the Platinum version of the program and not the plain vanilla version. The standard version of the program doesn't include an Advanced mode.

Do I have to buy the Platinum version or is it an upgrade because I JUST bought the regular version... ?

Hi rose,

I would check with the retailer you purchased from to see if they will exchange it (doubtful).  You may want to check this link going around (I saw it first posted by vkmast) https://support2.magix.com/customer/vegas/upgrade

Id you check off Vegas Movie Studio, and enter your serial number, it should offer an upgrade.  I can't test this, but it will take you to a shopping cart page which you can back out of if it is not a good deal.  If it is the plarinum version and the price is good with you, this may be a reasonable alternative.

Hope this helps, but others may have a better idea.

Best Regards.......George
