How to fit still images in HDV project?

Hi guys,

after all my problems are solved and I'm finally working on my projects I stumbled over the issue how to fit still images from my DSLR in a HDV project time line? The pictures are 3200x2400 pixel and I'm getting on all pictures left and right black areas to the edge of the screen. Do I have to cut them in the format like HDV? If I change the pixel ratio in the properties to wide screen or HDV thn the picture is stretched and the width to height ratio is wrong.

If you open the Pan Crop window you can right click and select Match Output Aspect - that should get rid of the black sides.

I'm not sure, but there may be a script to do this to a number of events at the same time.

Thanks alot. I have totally forgotten the Pan/Crop. Sometimes, the easy things are lost :-)
