how to format globally slide text??

i can't find a way of formatting the slide text of all slides. Do I have to do it one by one??? There should be a way of setting the format and position of a particular slide as the default and there should be also the possibility of copying the format and/or position of a slide to all/selected slides of one or several presentations in a dvd.

i'm sorry... this really sucks

What you mean by "slide text", the captions under the thumbnails or something else?

the caption, which is added automatically, based on the image name....

Try this...

When you first drag and drop a video on the work space, both the thumbnail and its file name are joined. Click on blank area in the work space. Now the thumbnail and text should be seperated. Click ONLY on the caption and it should have a box with handles surrouding it. You can strech or to be more precise right click, then under edit text change as needed. A VERY annoying "feature" (major blunder in my book) is presently the text is locked to auto so it on its own resizes, getting smaller as you add more type. This can be defeated by selecting the font face/size you want The other tools can be used to drag the text around in the work area.

While there is a way to make multiple captions the same it is CRUDE and depends on how many you select at once. Just select multiple captions and drag a corner of the bounding box that surrounds. I find it simpler to set the size by hand. To set precise positions and size click on View then select Editing and Text bar.

Thank you for your sugestions, but you didn't catch my question. I was asking if it is possible to copy the format of a text box across multiple slides, and not formatting multiple text boxes in a single slide...
example:
- i create a slideshow with 20 images (a text box is automatically added to every slide with the filename of the respective image)
- i change the format of the text box of the first slide (the one with the filename)
- i want to propagate that format change across all slides or may be set it as the default. that's not possible...
