In the capture app, click Options/Preferences/Disk Management and check the Maximum DV clip size. VF will automatically split your files as you capture.

Windows ME will not allow you to create a file bigger than 4gig. This is a limitation of the OS and the formatting of the harddrive.

If your harddrive is formatted as FAT16, the maximum file size (of any file) is 2gig. If you are formatted as Fat32, the maximum file size is 4gig.

The only way around this is to use an OS that supports NTFS formatting. These include Windows XP, NT and 2000.

If you generate a file larger than 4 gig on Windows ME, the file will not be usable.
