How to get 1394a to work in WindozeXP SP2

This may be repeating an earlier post, but, I think it's worth it. I decided to try installing Windows XP SP2 on one of my lesser used computers that was running SP1. Everything worked quite well until I tried plugging one of my Pyro DV drive kits into this computer. No matter what I did, I couldn't get XPSP2 to recognize my Pyro Drive kit as an external drive. The OS kept wanting to install DISK drivers.

After comparing the 1394 drivers between SP1 and SP2, I noticed 4 out of the 5 drivers had been updated by MicroCRAP. I then replaced all the updated 1394 drivers with the old version 1106 drivers. Rebooting my system and voila, I can properly recognize my Pyro DV Drive Kit. Have I mentioned how much I hate Micro$oft?

Anyway, for those that are interested, the drivers can be found in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS directory. The files to save before you update to SP2 and replace after you do the update are: sbp2port.sys, 1394bus.sys, arp1394.sys, nic1394.sys, and ohci1394.sys. Note that enum1394.sys is the same version in SP1 and sp2.

Hope this helps somebody. M$ should be shot, summarily, at sunrise.
Note: installing the latest M$ fix doesn't fix this.
