How to get ffdshow to work in HDVSplit?

Anybody got this working? I followed the directions on the HDVSplit website but it states there is an error and it can't find the mpeg2 video decoder.

It is not a necessity but it allows you to preview the video you are capturing.

Okay, apparently I got it to not show the error by checking another config screen, but how do I get the preview window to show up? Apparently it just doesn't pop up when you open HDV Split or else I am doing something else wrong.

Okay, I got it. Just clicked the preview box in HDV Split.

Man I love this forum- only on here can I answer my own question and be happy :)

p.s. that is not a crude remark- just meant to be funny as I posted 3 times and answered my own problem.
