How to get Ult S3 in V8 ?

I haven't yet been able to get this installed. I tried re-running the 3.0.2 installer but it does not appear in Customise Toolbar in V8. Also, I downloaded the latest 3.1.0.1.3 Installer, but this is an EFW file (6.2 Mb) which XP doesn't know.

Hi Peter, 3.0.2 predates Vegas Pro 8 which is why it doesn't know how to place itself in the script menu or customize toolbar. Version 3.1.0 can be downloaded from the VASST web site from the Ultimate S3 page.

I have no idea what an EFW file is but something on your computer is messing with your download. When you click on the download button at VASST, you will get a file called UltimateS3Installer-3.1.0.zip. Please try a different browser or disable any download managers, anti-virus, or firewall software you have if you are not getting the correct ZIP file on our site. It is very possible that one of these is trying to "protect" you by not allowing you to download a ZIP file.

You might start by just renaming the EFW file to ZIP and see if it works. On this site it says that CA Security Centre renames ZIP files to EFW. I think ZoneAlarm uses CA Security Centre. Anyway, it's your computer that's messing things up.

Renaming from efw to zip did it!

I had no idea my CA software was disguising zips this way - I thought it was meant to help me!
